Institutional Security, Governance &
Flexible Deployment Models
A precise overview of Knowledge GEMZ deployment options: Private Cloud, Dedicated Tenant, Sovereign Regional Hosting, On-Premises, and physical Secured Internal Network installations.
1. Precise Clarification: Deployment Options
At Knowledge GEMZ, we recognize that universities, government ministries, intelligence agencies, and healthcare systems operate under diverse security mandates. We do not apply a generic label to all environments; instead, we offer five clearly differentiated deployment models:
1. Private Cloud
A dedicated virtual private cloud (VPC) provisioned in certified tier-3 data centers (Canada, Europe, or Regional Zones), isolated from other clients with dedicated database clusters and VPC peering for institutional SSO.
2. Dedicated Tenant (Single-Tenant SaaS)
Software-as-a-service ease with single-tenant isolation. No multi-tenant data co-mingling. Dedicated encryption keys managed either by Knowledge GEMZ or through Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK).
3. Sovereign / Regional Hosting
Data residency compliance ensuring all vectors, institutional documents, and logs never cross specified national borders. Available in Canadian jurisdiction, European Union sovereign cloud zones, and regional GCC nodes.
4. On-Premises Deployment
Platform software deployed directly onto the customer's on-premises hypervisor clusters or bare-metal Kubernetes nodes, integrated with local Active Directory and storage arrays.
5. True Secured Internal Network Deployment
Designed exclusively for defense, national security, intelligence, and classified government enclaves. Completely disconnected from the public internet. Localized LLM inference weights running on on-premises GPUs with zero outbound connections.
2. Data Encryption Standards
Across all connected deployment models:
- Data in Transit: Enforced TLS 1.3 encryption across all communication links, APIs, and administrative consoles.
- Data at Rest: AES-256 bit encryption applied to all document storage buckets, relational databases, and vector embedding indexes.
- Cryptographic Shredding: Immediate cryptographic key revocation upon institutional contract completion, rendering stored indexes inaccessible.
3. Institutional Authentication & Granular Permissions
Knowledge GEMZ leverages your existing institutional identity directory rather than creating redundant credentials:
- Turnkey SSO integration supporting SAML 2.0, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Microsoft Azure AD (Entra ID), Okta, and Shibboleth.
- Granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) ensuring faculty, students, researchers, clinicians, and executive staff only access authorized document collections.
4. Auditability & Telemetry Integrity
Every user query, document retrieval, and administrative action generates an immutable audit record containing timestamp, user role, source document citations, and query parameters for internal security review.
